ABOUT
A Grade II listed original flax mill, Castleton Mill has been repurposed as a collection of creative work spaces and studios that are high quality and affordable.
By combining high-spec facilities with an inspiring setting the mill offers the perfect environment for fast growing creative businesses.
Our History
The history of the mill
Built in 1836, Castleton Mill was designed for steam powered flax spinning, in the 1850s a weaving shed was added for wool and linen manufacture. It is one of three remaining mills of its type in the UK.
Throughout the renovation of the mill, our key aim was to restore and enhance the original features, as well as promote the cultural significance of the building – both past and present.
AVAILABILITY
& RESIDENTS
Castleton Mill is a collection of creative office spaces, uniquely designed and wired to contribute to the success of your business. We’re dedicated to providing an exceptional working environment for you and your people.
CREATIVE SPACE
Castleton Mill has a fantastic ground floor collaborative space, perfect for workshops, hot-desking, informal meetings and networking events. We also work closely with Canal Mills, offering a large-scale creative space for events, photo shoots, exhibitions, pop-ups, set-building and other creative outputs. Both spaces have retained an industrial raw aesthetic and are extremely versatile.
